The Robert L. Teany
Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc.
    We are pleased to announce our chapter has a new honorary
    charity called “The Robert L. Teany Memorial Scholarship
    Foundation, Inc.” The Teany Foundation’s focus is to provide
    medically related scholarships to deserving high school
    seniors from the Okeechobee County School System. An
    amount in excess of $75,000 has been donated to students
    entering medically related fields of study since the inception
    of the foundation in 1987.

    Mr. Dale Barrett works for the Okeechobee County School
    Board and founded the scholarship program. Dale spoke to
     our membership about the good works of the foundation at
    our Spring Conference on Wednesday, March 17.
    "I’d like to thank all those who supported and participated during the
    raffle to raise money. What an awesome day, although being in the
    hot sun and sweating what a great feeling at the end of the day
    knowing that you helped fulfill an unfortunate family’s dream."
